Search Timeline & Process
Phase 1: Resume Collection (August 1 – August 30, 2026)
Our application window opens today! We will be accepting resumes and cover letters through the end of August. We invite all qualified candidates called to youth ministry to submit their materials.
Phase 2: Initial Questionnaire
At the beginning of September, candidates who submitted a resume will receive a follow-up questionnaire. This step allows candidates to share more about their ministry philosophy, doctrinal alignment, and personal testimony in greater detail.
Phase 3: Candidate Evaluation & Interviews
Our search committee will review all completed questionnaires against our job description and doctrinal standards. Candidates who meet our qualifications will be invited to participate in interviews with our Senior Pastor and search team.
Phase 4: Candidate Selection & Narrowing
Through prayer and evaluation, the search committee will narrow our candidate pool down to a final candidate. Final steps during this phase will include comprehensive background checks, reference checks, and follow-up conversations.
Phase 5: Presentation to the Church Body
The selected candidate will be invited to visit Oakridge Baptist Church, meet our students, leadership, and church family, and be formally presented to the congregation for consideration and vote.
